Margate 1 Rams 0 – Kent Senior Cup

Tonight it was Thanet Derby time again, with the Rams travelling across to the estuary side of the Island to face The Other Thanet Side in the John Ullmann Kent Senior Cup.

In addition to local bragging rights a chance to welcome a Charlton side in the next round was at stake tonight, but after a tight contest the sides were separated by a single goal scored just after half-time, although the game almost went to extra-time when Ben Laslett’s shot in the closing minutes beat the Margate ‘keeper but not the upright.
