Ramsgate FC at the heart of the Local Community

Ramsgate FC is truly at the heart of the local community, and the Club sees itself as much more than just the town’s senior football team. As well as promoting men’s adult football, we have a substantial youth section that seeks to ensure that players of all ages meet their full potential, have an academy for 16-18 year olds based at Sandwich Technology School, and also have the only Ladies’ team playing competitive league football in Thanet.

We are busy off the field too, with a coach development programme (to help progress the players’ development) and also support the training of referees. The Club also promotes a number of social events throughout the year, which are open to the wider community, and the Ramsgate Football Supporters’ Association also promote events and do work in the community.

Community Coaching is an area that the Club have developed over the past few years, with a number of initiatives in its Football In The Community Programme that aim to give youngsters fun exercises whilst keeping fit and learning the values of being part of a team.
