7 Dec: Under 23s 1 Margate 2

First bragging rights in the Battle of Thanet went to Margate on Thursday night, when a very early goal caught the Rams out, and interception of a failed clearance gifted a 2-0 lead to the visitors at the interval. The Rams did have a few good chances in the first half but Margate's 'keeper was more than up to his task (pictured).

The Rams rallied in the 2nd half and reduced the deficit, with a Billy Lewins goal with 14 minutes to go, but could not level the score.
