PREVIEW | Corinthian-Casuals v Ramsgate

1 year ago By Sam Perkins

The Rams travel to Surrey to attempt to end the September woes and get back to winning ways

Expect goals in Saturday's thrilling encounter as Ramsgate travel to Corinthian-Casuals.

The home side are in good form this season and have scored a staggering 31 goals in 11 games (in all competitions). However, they have also conceded 18 with just one clean sheet (in the League Cup).

Corinthian-Casuals enter the contest on the back of 3 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw in September after an impressive August to match Ramsgate's. The Rams shall take confidence in the fact Casuals are yet to keep a clean sheet in the Ryman League South to date.

Jim and Danny Ward will hope the September slump will come to an end on Saturday. Similar to Corinthian-Casuals, scoring goals hasn't been a problem, but a leaky defence has seen Ramsgate concede 14 in September alone.

Joe Kane is still sidelined with an injured hand, so George Crimmen is likely to continue at the back and as captain.

2015/16 Top Goalscorer Joe Taylor moved to Folkestone Invicta this week with Jim Ward insisting he would never stand in a players way if a team in a higher division came calling. He continued it was another chance for youth to prevail as has happened on many occasions in the last 18 months under Jim and Danny Ward's guidance. It's expected Aaron Millbank and Tom Chapman will look to fill the void left my Taylor too.
