Today Ramsgate welcomed League leaders Lewes to a sunny Southwood for the last home game before Christmas, and after a few near misses the Rams took the lead in the 19th minute when Tom Chapman headed down past 'keeper Chris Winterton (pictured).
Rory Smith, Alfie Paxman and Chappers kept up the attack in the 2nd half, and sandwiched between two good penalty shouts for the home side (the first waved away and the 2nd a freekick on the line), Chapman rifled in a 2nd goal past the 'keeper in the 49th minute. It could have been more, but the Rooks held on, and in the closing minutes it was nice to see the return of Aaron Millbank.
An excellent three points and a great preparation for the Rams' Christmas Party in the evening.
