Daren Hawkes - 21 year old ‘keeper who was regular Youth and Reserve goalie with the Gills, and was called into the 1st team in 2010/11 when Lance Cronin was injured. Ended that season on a 3 month loan at Ebbsfleet where he helped them through the play-offs. Turned professional in 2011/12 and had loan spells with the Rams that season and in 2012/13, signing permanently for the last two months of the latter and last season.

Ira Jackson Jr – 17 year old striker who scored 40 goals in a season for the Gill’s youth team, and made his senior debut for home town team Ashford United as a 16 year old in October 2013 against Tunbridge Wells. Returned to the Stones and became established in their Under 18s and Reserves before signing for Margate (and making a 2nd half appearance at Southwood for them a couple of weeks ago).
Ben Laslett – 31 year old midfielder who joined the Rams in 2004 from Sittingbourne. Played in the back-to-back promotion winning sides but missed a season due to a hip injury, returning strongly for the 2007/08 Cup winning campaign and winning Players’ Player of the Year for 2009/10. Took over the captaincy for the 2010/11 season, and has continued to be a key part of the midfield ever since, as well covering in the defence, pushing through the 400 competitive appearance milestone last year.
Chris Lewis - 25 year old local player who was initially promoted to Margate’s first team at the start of the 2008/09 season but had only made one Kent Senior Cup substitute appearance to his name before a surprise recall in March 2011. Looked good in pre-season training for the Rams in 2011/12 but work commitments meant he did not sign. Has given it a go again this pre-season, and has again looked sharp.
Carl Munday – 25 year old local striker who has trialled for the Rams in the past, and has joined for the 2014/15 campaign from Canterbury City.

Curtis Robinson – 25 year old defender / winger who is most comfortable in central or left positions, and who was part of the Rams’ U18 and Reserve teams before leaving for university, after which he spent a season with Dover Reserves before moving to Hartsdown Park. After 4 years he was one of the longest-standing players at the club, with over 100 appearances, but terms were eventually agreed for his return to the Rams in 2012/13, where he scored some tremendous goals from the wing, as well as some staunch defending at centre back.
Warren Schulz - 35 year old midfielder who joined Ramsgate from local football eleven years ago, establishing himself as captain following the Rams’ promotion to the Ryman League, a role he carried out for seven consecutive seasons. Following solid performances and several goals he broke into the 1st Team squad, where he has remained ever since, taken over as captain for 2014/15.
Greg Skinner – 18 year old left-sided defender from Maidstone who progressed from Bearsted to the Welling United U18s and Reserves with the assistance of the Soccer Elite academy, making his debut for the Wings’ 1st team in their London Cup tie against Erith. Picked up the Man of the Match award in a game against Southampton’s academy side and also appeared against a Wales youth XI prior to joining the Rams, initially for defensive cover and to give him Ryman experience, ending up with nine 1st team appearances by the end of the season.
Toby Smith - 18 year old striker who had been developing his game at Dover Athletic before joining the Rams for 2013/14 after impressed during that pre-season with a goal against Ashford. Remained on the fringe of the 1st team last season chalking up 8 appearances.

Luke Wheatley - 23 year old defender who came on a month’s loan from neighbours Margate in October 2009 but was recalled at the end of the initial term. Re-joined the Rams on a permanent basis 2 months before the end of that season and has grown in stature as part of the Rams’ defence since. Side-lined in October 2012 through a broken leg, and although he returned fit and strong for 2013/14 he suffered another break that September, leaving him on the sidelines for the rest of the season. Hoping to be match fit again before Christmas 2014.
