There must be a reason why we dont get bigger crowds, but WHAT.we had a reasonable pre-season,played some good football, but still cant even get 200,but I dont think we are the only team not attracting crowds, perhaps, too much tv football,it seems that football is on most nights.
But I have noticed the last couple of home games we have had a few 9-13ys, maybe 10 or so alright not a lot but if they enjoy the games, they might bring another couple.
The work party is this week working on the new cafe,if anyone has a free couple of hours it would be welcomed we are up the club from about 0945-1400,refreshments are free(water) but you can have as much as Ken thinks you earnt
It needs a coordinated attempt by all the Ryman clubs in Kent to lobby the BBC South East and ITV to give the local clubs air time on their sports news. For some reason this stopped several years ago with the knock on effect that a huge element of advertising was lost to the local teams.
Further to this listening to Radio Kent one would think that Gillingham were the only team in the county. Why do we have to listen to live commentary of the gills every week? Lets lobby Radio Kent to give more air time to the smaller teams.
