On Wednesday next week the 11th January 2012 at 7pm KO……Southwood is hosting the Kent Schoolboys v Esssex Schoolboys U18's National Cup match. The fact that Ramsgate FC has been chosen to host the game is a great compliment to the great work that the club provides for youth football in the County. There will be a number of England International Schoolboy representatives on show. And the Kent Squad also includes two Ramsgate FC players…..Courtney Robinson and George Stannard.
The winners will enter the semi final stages of the England Schools National Cup…

And it's FREE admission too – so well worth a wander up (7pm kickoff though, as it's a 'schoolboy' match)
Scheduled to go on Home page tomorrow (after weekend matches)

Enjoyed the game tonight, I counted about 70 there, including Jim! Good honest game by honest players.

Hi, Essex won 2-1 with a goal near the end, their goalkeeper made a great save right at the end. Really good game, one of the better games at Southwood this season.

As John said 2-1 to Essex with a real chance of an equaliser at the death
Sadly George Stannard was the only Ram to play tonight (as a late substitute)
Match report now on homepage
PS – what did everyone think of the new tannoy trainee?

Bring back Ivor. lol
I did notice throughout the game was that both sides used the whole of the width of the pitch, perhaps Jim should take note of this.

Well done to all those involved in staging this match. A good nights entertainment (including the tannoy announcements for the hard of hearing)
And good to see George Stannard returning from injury…..
Perhaps Kent could have done with his pace being introduced earlier into the game
The two England Schoolboys Axford and Harrington certainly stood out…for Kent

I think the tannoy man, having a microphone given to him at very short notice must of been very nervous, and it showed
But he showed the person doing the match report his outstanding qualities by giving him vital information concerning the substitutions.
We are getting some fantastic match reports lately, well done Edward keep up the good work
