There used to be 2,000 every week when my parents went in the 50s.

But there was only the cinema and local football to entertain people in Thanet then. The world has changed. Football supporting kids nowadays follow Chelsea, or Spurs, or Arsenal or of course Man U or Liverpool. Most frankly don't know Ramsgate has a team and would sneer at it if they did. 

I agree Orgeron, it would be great if we had bigger crowds, but our crowds are the level you would expect. Even if we reached the conference south it would only be 400 or so and that wouldmainly be because there would be more games against teams with bigger away followings. I bet Merstham only brought a dozen fans with them yesterday.
