I'm getting a bit fed up of the vague rumours appearing on this forum. On two separate topics, it's suggested that Ollie Gray has left the club. None of the posters says why or where he has gone. If it's true, then they should say where he's gone and where they got the information. If it's just a rumour, what good does it do the player, the team and the fans to mention it on this forum? So, guys, put up or shut up!

Good one Bill. Frustrating for us expats, not near enough for a phone call to anyone. Martin did confirm one comment, but nothing on Ollie etc. (Hope we have enough for a team on Saturday ).

Just clarified, on another thread, that Ollie has not left the club. As said at the start of this one, not a helpful original comment at all, even if it was thought to be correct. The downsides (which I have seen at my time with the club) are it actually unsettles the players (even though they know the truth) but worse it gets rumours going and attracts interest from other clubs who would not otherwise have been interested.

This is an information and communication issue.
I think a weekly, at least, bullletin from the Manager on the Web site would help.
We could even record one and post it.

I think that would be a great idea Edward – those that attended the last Q&A found it interesting and informative … And communication should reduce the misinformation – better from the 'horses mouth' than his next door neighbours aunties postman ;)

Today local also states that Ollie has left the club, no post suggested he had joined another club, i was told myself last week that due to his studies he had left the club by a senior club offical.It will be great to see him back when ready, the paper also said that Wedgy had been involved in a trial match playing for Barnet, and stated the fact that his leaving was to do with the travelling to and from games and training.

If something is known/thought to be happening and until there is an official announcement, people will post stuff on the forum…unless it is libel/slander/defamation, it's just gossip…
I don't know what's going on back in Ramsgate, so I read the forum….

Maybe it would be a good idea if a club official responded to these so call rumours when they are first put on, if only to "nip it in the bud" before it all escalates as this has.

Thing is Red Ram, Martin and the like have full time jobs, and dont always (maybe) have access to the internet, and some news because of the internet, happens so fast.. its rumoured on here long before its offical..and in Martin's case when he gets home working in london area, his work dont stop there, he then catches up on things like Ramsgate fc.. have you noticed some of his postings are like ten at night,… and like he stated elsewhere he not always in the know ,… and as far as i know Edward only deletes posts,.. …to think in the old days,.. before computers we had to wait till saturdays to get the goss in the clubhouse or find out on the terraces…
