Overall a game we dominated especially in the 1st half which we should have been 3-0 up with a goal disallowed (Pulman offside) and deliberately raised hand to stop a shot for a penalty not given….although Whyteleafe came back more in 2nd half we had another goal disallowed (Pulman) for a handball but their defender I think had done so before…overall I think we passed quite well and looked more dangerous far more often and 5-2 would have been a fair reflection….Wink

You said it John…………. laugh out loud.  Seriously though, I have always like the lad. Ryman South is his level by the looks of things.

Nice comments from Whyteleafe Forum

I'm not very comfortable with discussing individual players in a negative way on a non-league club Forum like this. It is poor etiquette in my opinion.

Seeing as you've started though, I don't understand the Danny Dudley reference as he has been a very good addition this term, accomplished at centre-half and right-back.

Our defence did well yesterday, some vital blocks and interceptions by Aldous and Fleming from memory including a brilliant goal-line clearance by Dan after the break.

As regards Jerson, he oozes talent and has frightening pace but we haven't seen the best of him recently. His best position seems to be the point of confusion.

Ramsgate were a strong and well drilled team yesterday and as pointed out earlier a number of their team have been around a while. Good money and end of Kent location are certainly factors.

When the visitors arrive in a smart coach, all dressed in club tracksuits, are polite to the Leafe Stewards, gather togather in the clubhouse and have smiles on their faces you know they are a well oiled machine – and so it proved. Ramsgate were a bit suspect at the back, but going forward as good as any team we've seen.

I'm waffling. We did well, but must do better still.

I'm a bit confused with Reddys comments, he mentions " Good money and end of Kent location" NEVER heard that said of ANY Ramsgate player " GOOD MONEY" and WTF has end of Kent location got to do with football and the ability to play said game.Confused

I was commenting on the tail end of the post praising the teams turnout and attitude.

As regards 'good money' I think he is ill informed , as for location it's probably that being a south London location it is harder to keep hold of good players.

Accept praise when it is offered ! Smile

SUPER RAMS!! PLAYOFFS??????

Best Squad we've had in years.. For a team to regroup & recover after letting players such as

Mark Lovell

Mitchell Sherwood

James Gregory

Paul Axon

Aaron Beech

Ollie Gray

Joseph Afusi (!) go is testament to the group of players there now. Well done skipper Quinn for leading this group of boys/men.  Cool

Lovell & Sherwood had travel and work difficulties; Axon went off to live in Spain for a while; Beech is back playing with the reserves; Gray is giving his studies priority; can't say we'll really miss Afusi or Gregory.Cool
