"Thank god September is out of the way!" Danny began.
I think Ramsgate fans certainly agree with Danny Ward. The Joint-Manager told Ramsgate-FC.co.uk it has been a tough month full of injuries and suspensions.
"Injuires and suspensions have caught up with us big time. Especially injuries," Danny said. "We were without four [recognised] centre halves and our three captains this season have missed a lot of September.
I can't speak for Tuesday as I wasn't there (work committments) but we haven't been turned over in any of the other matches and deserved points in all the games."
Ramsgate narrowly lost every other game by 1 goal apart from Tuesday's humbling by Sittingbourne and a 3-1 home defeat to Greenwich Borough.
Ward continued, "We as a Club must have run over 20 black cats with our luck. But we're not far away now. The lads that missed pre-season are now getting game time and match fitness. Our injured players are closer to full fitness too. With our squad in tact it makes us much stronger on the pitch and as a squad."
Ramsgate host Whyteleafe on Saturday at Southwood before returning to Sittingbourne on Tuesday 4th October exactly a week after their worst defeat since last seasons trip to Woodstock.
"We have also gone through a spell playing against teams challenging at the top," he said. "My message to the fans is keep the faith. I and all the people at the Club hope and expect to go on a winning run sooner rather than later and push up the table. With a full squad at our disposal that is where we belong."
