PREVIEW: Ramsgate v Greenwich Borough

1 year ago By Sam Perkins

Join us at Southwood as Ramsgate welcome Greenwich Borough for the first time in 12 years on Tuesday evening

Ramsgate welcome Greenwich Borough for their first visit in 12 years, the last being Borough's FA Vase visit in 2004.

They are the third of Ramsgate's old Kent League adversaries to return to Southwood after a dozen years so far this season. The Rams have already welcomed Erith Town in the FA Cup (first visit for 12 years) and Cray Wanderers.

After a winning start to Ramsgate's league campaign and a strong August, a couple of poor results have seen the side slip to 12th, while Greenwich have leap-frogged the Rams to 5th with 3 more points.

Next up for the 1st Team is a trip to Corinthian-Casuals on Saturday, but before that there is more action at Southwood as the U18s welcome Hastings on Thursday (22 September) in the FA Youth Cup, 7:45pm kick off. Next week Thursday (29 September) the U21s are at home to Whyteleafe U21s, also a 7:45pm kick off.

The next 1st Team home game is also against Whyteleafe, at 3pm on Saturday 1 October.

Pick up the Matchday programme on Tuesday evening where the preview continues. And if you can't make it, make sure you follow the match LIVE on Facebook and Twitter.

Come on you Rams!
