Depleted Rams return from London without any points

Tonight Ramsgate returned to League action, and made the evening rush hour trek into southeast London to face Greenwich Borough.

The Rams had already played Borough at Southwood in the county cup, and with tonight's hosts sitting 9 places higher with 8 points more from playing an extra game, it was always going to be a tough challenge. Unfortunately, with further injuries in the last games the Rams had to call up players usually starting for the Development Squad (who had a home county cup tie at Southwood tonight).

Greenwich took all the points with a 3-0 win, courtesy of a Jack Barham hat-trick that started in the 9th minute and had a 2nd added straight after half-time. In the 81st minute Luke Watkins was cautioned for a challenge in his area, and Barham was there to convert the resultant penalty.

Attendance 126

Rams: Luke Watkins, Jake Mackenzie (Jordan Bartlett), Jack Penny, Joe Kane (Billy Munday), Jacob Mensah, George Crimmen, Tom Chapman, Jake Munday, Rory Smith, Danny Lawrence, Alfie Paxman. Unused Subs: Dan Keyte, Adam Turton, James King.

Ramsgate's 1st XI are back in action on Saturday 14 October, when they face Horsham at Southwood.
