The Easter Saturday fixture at Southwood comprised the visit of League leaders (and champions in waiting) Tooting & Mitcham who, depending on the results here and at Dorking, could have clinched the title this afternoon, but the Rams put paid to that.
The Rams had the biggest home crowd of the season as they continued their good end of season run, taking the unbeaten games to eight in a row. Despite Luke Wheatley clearing off the line early the home team had the best first half efforts with a Wheatley header just wide and Jake Munday hitting the woodwork. Chace O’Neill gave Tooting the lead on 40 just reaching the ball first and deflecting into the net.
Jake Mackenzie blasted the ball into the goal off the underside of crossbar on 51 and both sides went close with Paxman hitting the woodwork with a deflected shot in an exciting second half. Tooting pressed towards the end but could not break the Rams down.

Off the pitch over £93 was collected for Prostate Cancer UK.
Next up for the Rams is an East Kent derby on Bank Holiday Monday at Herne Bay.
