A dour FA cup game saw two sides battle out a draw, with very few chances for either side. It was Sevenoaks Town going into an early lead in the 9th minute with a goal created from a free kick - Rob Saunders the number 6 started a run from the edge of the Ramsgate box and ran through unchallenged to head home. The half panned out frustrating for both teams with little action in front of goal.
The second half saw the Rams making an early change with Jack Penny normally a left back coming on for Stannard on the wing, which seemed to give the Rams more balance and attacking options. A 70th minute swivel-kick from Millbank inside the Sevenoaks' box went high into the top of the net, helped home by a defender gave a 1 - 1 draw, and a Tuesday reply.
Man of the match Ramsgate's Tom Chapman
The replay at Sevenoaks on Tuesday means that the scheduled League Cup game vs Whitstable will now be postponed, most likely by one week to 18th September.
