Rams' Development Squad Finally Get a Friendly

After four pre-season games called off for various reasons the Under 23s finally got down to business last night.

The game saw the development squad playing together for the very first time, and with the inclusion of two first year Under 18s the show of confidence in young players was again shining at Southwood.

From the start Ramsgate created chances and with the front men still zeroing their sight for goal the first half finished 0-0.

In the second half the Rams came out and lost a bit of concentration, and the very well drilled and organised Camden went 0-1 up.

Ramsgate awakened soon and were on the front foot again, finding themselves 1-1 after Billy Lewins finished a corner supplied by Llewan Campbell.

A good performance leaving the season's outlook a bright one, which is scheduled to start in less than a week's time with a trip to Bromley to face Cray Wanderers next Wednesday, 23 August.
