7 Sep: U18s 2 Hollands & Blair 2 - 2-4 on pens

2 months ago By Martin Able

The young Rams pulled back a 2 goal deficit, then lost out on penalties

Tonight the young Rams faced a strong Hollands & Blair outfit, who with early pressure and the wind behind them managed to pull out a 2 goal lead in the first half hour, but a well-taken shot by Bradley Torrance pulled one back 10 minutes before the interval.

The 2nd half saw the Rams equalise through Sam Bradley to take the game to extra-time, and without further goals it went to the dreaded shoot-out. Unfortunately, this is where the Blair booked their passage into the next round of the cup, coming out on the right side of the penalties by 4-2.

Ramsgate: James King, Jacob Mensah, Llewan Campbell, Charlie Cook, Alfy Warren, Nial Marney, Kieron Beresford, Reece Greig, Connor Wardle, Sam Bradley, Bad Torrance. Subs: Louis Shephard, Rob Welhard, Gabriel Harrison, Jay Sutton, Tom Handley.

Attendance 84

On Sunday the U18s are back in League action, when they welcome Herne Bay to Southwood for an 11am kickoff.
