Ramsgate Academy entertained North London Soccer Chance Academy, in a match where the visitors had been unbeaten over the last two seasons.
For the first 20 minutes in this top of the table clash the visitors took the game to Ramsgate, controlling both the defence and midfield areas, though chances were few and far between, but before the half-hour slack defending cost the home side dearly. Not to be outdone the Rams brought on Jack Hinkley for Kye Jarvis, and in the 42nd minute a lovely move down the wing saw Se'Mon Murphy equalise.
A change in formation at half time, reverting to three at the back, saw the home side beginning to fine space and create opportunities. In the 71st minute the hard working Murphy was replaced by Kyle Nichols, whose more aggressive approach caused the visitors problems. In both the 75th and 86th minutes Ramsgate could have sealed victory, when both TJ Jadama and Jacob Mensah failed to capitalise on good opportunities. With the match looking like a draw, and just three minutes remaining, the ever-present Corey Hanson broke free with just two defenders to beat, and slotted the ball pass the out coming goalkeeper to give Rams an outstanding 2-1 win.
Ramsgate: Charlie Cousins, Callum Weatherly (capt), Kye Jarvis (Jack Hinkley) Randal Bax, Liam Perquin, Leon Guess, Jacob Mensah, TJ Jadama, Se'Mon Murphy (Kyle Nichols), Corey Hanson, Josh Maher. Subs not used: Robbie Deacon, Gavin Rainer, Jesse Hodges.

Free-scoring Soccer Chance, the Enfield & Wingate Academy, is certainly one of the best sides Ramsgate has faced, and had netted over 20 goals this season in just three matches. The Rams move on next week (Wednesday), when they entertain the Barnet FC Academy at Southwood.
