Under 18s

The Under 18s represent the apex of the Club’s Player Development Programme, derived from the practices that have resulted in a home-grown double-championship winning 1st team as well as the introduction of some of the latest innovative thinking from the FA and other football-related organisations. As players approach the end of youth football they should be challenging for a chance of senior football in the Reserves.

Last season the Under 18s finished as runners-up in the League, after a closly fought battle, and ror 2011/12 the team is again managed by Vic Medus who, as well as having had a successful senior playing career with both Ramsgate and Margate, also had a spell as Ramsgate’s 1^st team manager. This season the coaching duties are taken over by UEFA B coach Joe Regan, who has stepped up from last season’s League winning Under 16s.

The Team competes in the Kent Youth League (East Division) and, as well as the League Cup, will also be taking part in the John Ullmann Memorial Cup, the Kent FA County Youth Cup, the Ryman League Youth Cup and the FA Youth Cup, providing the youngsters with an opportunity to play at the highest level of local youth football.
