Blacky's Biefing: Battling Cray Wanderers and Looking Ahead to Sevenoaks

06/12/2018

Last Sunday we took the trip to Bromley to face unbeaten league leaders Cray Wanderers. It was certainly an action packed 90 minutes and was a result I was pleased with....although the players felt disappointed not to have taken more than a point.

That says a lot for me … held the league leaders on their patch, kept a clean sheet, created numerous chances .... yet they aren’t happy. They constantly want more and I’m pleased to have that mentality within the squad. On another day we could’ve taken all 3 points but I think the draw was a fair result upon reflection.

It was also great to see young TJ Jadama get his first minutes back in a Ramsgate shirt for nearly 3 months. He’s been kicking every ball from the sideline and has been desperate to take part in training so I’m delighted to welcome him back.

It was pleasing to keep the unbeaten run of games going too, however as I touched upon already the mentality within this group is to want more and my objective is solely on improving and to focus on what’s ahead.

On Saturday we welcome Sevenoaks Town back to Southwood, and as only one point separates us in the table the game should be a really close yet exciting one.

Hopefully that’ll be another win, so I hope to see you up there for the 1 o’clock kickoff.
