Blacky's Briefing: Discussing Last Two Away Matches in Preparation for Hemel Hempstead

06/12/2018

Last Saturday we travelled to Kent rivals Sittingbourne and got the perfect response from the boys following our Herne Bay display. Sittingbourne themselves have been in good form so it was an excellent result, and we followed that up with a pleasing performance away to Whyteleafe. Their brand and style is very similar to Cray Wanderers, however we identified areas we felt we could exploit. The second half in particular saw us get them off their game and we could’ve easily have walked away with all 3pts, but upon reflection a draw was a fair result and a decent point against a side I believe will be towards the top end of the table come the end of season.

Last night the players had a light recovery session and massage before going through tactical work ready for Saturday against Hemel Hempstead. We are well aware of the magnitude of the challenge but we all know there’s something magic about the FA Cup, and we go there in good form and extremely looking forward to it.

I know the boys will do us and the town proud.

Looking forward to seeing you travelling supporters tomorrow….

Up the Rams!
