Rams appoint Nick Davis as Ramsgate Manager.

Ramsgate Football Club is delighted to confirm the appointment of Nick Davis as the new head coach with immediate effect.

The former Rams player succeeds Lloyd Blackman who resigned following defeat to Three Bridges last weekend.

Davis played under former manager Jim Ward and admits he is relishing a return to Southwood. Davis said “the opportunity to manage Ramsgate was too good to turn down”

The club is well regarded within non-league circles, and Nick was very pleased with the club’s long term plans on and off the field.

“I would like to thank Paul Bowden-Brown, the club’s CEO and Richard Lawson, the club’s owner for having faith in me and giving me the opportunity to manage the club that I once played for,” said Davis.

“I look forward to building on the position we are currently in,” he continued.

Paul Bowden Brown is excited by the appointment of Nick Davis and welcome’s him with open arms.

“Davis played for me at Maidstone United under Jim Ward, so I have watched his career pathway within the Non-League scene with interest.”

“I believe he is the correct person for the vacant manager’s role, and it became apparent we shared the exact same aspirations for stability and success,” said Bowden-Brown.

“Nick has been offered the same increase in the budget as our previous manager to supplement the array of talent we already have in the dressing room,” he continued.

“We want a successful future, something the club and the supporters thoroughly deserve.”

Nick Davis will take charge of his first match against Ashford United at home this weekend, who currently sit in 7th place in the Bostik League South East division.
