East Grinstead Town Match Preview

06/10/2020

Isthmian South East:

Ramsgate return to league action following a ten-day break since being edged out by Ashford United at Southwood on September 26th. East Grinstead have also had a break from Isthmian action. They have not played a league match since the opening day of the season, as a result of Guernsey's hibernation and a FA Cup run. The Wasps won a six-goal thriller against Worthing on penalties before losing 1-0 to Chipstead, who knocked The Rams out earlier in the competition, in the 2nd Qualifying Round on Saturday.

Tickets:

Adult — £10.00
Concessions (Over 65s, NUS cardholders, 18-21year-olds) — £5.00
Under 18s — £1

Tickets can be bought on the turnstile at East Court. We believe cash is the preferred method and should this change we will inform you.

All supporters will be required to provide their details for track and trace purposes. If people could download the NHS Track and Trace app in advance to reduce queues at the turnstile it would be extremely helpful.

We've met before:

Perhaps the highlight of last season was the dramatic 3-2 win against The Wasps that took Ramsgate away from the relegation zone and appeared to have send Grinstead down to Step 5. The Rams were trailing with ten minutes remaining but a penalty from Tyrell Mitford and an injury time winner from Ashley Miller sent the travelling few into raptures of joy.

Ramsgate have enjoyed some comfortable wins against the West Sussex side. A 4-0 win in 2016 included a Kane Rowland hat-trick at Southwood and a win by the same scoreline n 2018 with goals from Alfie Paxman, Kyron Lightfoot and Billy Munday.

The most comfortable win on the road was in April 2017 when Lloyd Blackman's side won 4-1
