Jonny Steele: Ramsgate Move is a Good Fit and I Can't Wait to get Started
Latest addition, Jonny Steele, has put an end to a 16-year career in America, and will join up with Ramsgate ahead of the 2019/20 season following his move back to the UK.
Speaking on his decision to join the Rams, the 33-year old midfielder who had the pleasure of playing alongside the likes of Thierry Henry believes a move to Ramsgate is a “good fit”.
“I’ve recently moved back to the London area, and I’m currently doing a personal training course, but I managed to find some time on my hands to still be able to play,” Steele said.
“Any lad that’s played, no matter their age or level, would still love to find the time to continue competitively for as long as possible,”
“When I met up with the gaffer, we had a good chat and it all went smoothly from there really,”
“Nick played a massive part, as did Paul. We all agreed this move was a good fit for all parties.”
And now, Jonny will join up with Nick Davis and his new teammates - as will Jack Paxman, William Johnson-Cole and Steven Smith, and they all have their sights on one thing… promotion.
“The ambition for everybody throughout the club is to achieve promotion,” Steele said.
“If I can help that then it’s no doubt a win-win for all!”
“I can’t wait to get back out there playing, and I’m looking forward to seeing where the season takes us.”
