Kane Rowland Welcome's Friendly Competition Ahead of 19/20 Season
Ramsgate FC’s pre-season will commence July 2nd when the first team will join back up with manager Nick Davis, and Kane Rowland is raring to go.
“I can’t wait for pre-season to get started to be honest,” Rowland said.
“It’s obviously nice to have a bit of a rest, but after a few weeks it begins to feel weird not doing anything on a Saturday afternoon,”
When quizzed about the capabilities of Ramsgate ahead of the 2019/20 Bostik League season, the forward admitted it was too early to pass judgement.
“It’s hard to say what we are capable of at this stage, pre-season will be important for us,”
“Lots can change in a short space of time in football, but there’s a good buzz around the place at the moment and I believe we can at least achieve the play-off’s”.
Nick Davis has brought in some fresh faces this summer, including forward’s William Johnson-Cole and Steve Smith, but that won’t faze Kane Rowland.
“If you look at any top team, they always have two or three good strikers who help throughout the season, so it’s definitely needed”.
“I heard that they (Johnson-Cole and Smith) were both very good players, and it’s great to have plenty of competition!”
“I just want to focus on the team ambitions and hope I can play a pivotal role in a push for promotion.”
