MATCH PREVIEW: Whitstable Town vs Ramsgate FC
Ramsgate Football Club take on Whitstable Town for more Isthmian League action on Saturday afternoon at Belmont Rd, 3:00pm kick-off.
Matt Longhurst’s side will look to get back to winning ways following Tuesday’s 4-0 defeat against Herne Bay.
Matty Robinson is a doubt for tomorrow’s match whilst Ollie Gray misses out with a hamstring issue.
Tyrell Mitford returns and will be available for selection.
“Tomorrow’s match is another local derby and we look forward to that. The boys trained on Thursday and worked on some of the things we must improve going forward, certainly defensively.”
“We have a couple of injury concerns at the moment which isn’t great news. We are attempting to do one or two bits of business before the game but obviously time is tight. Let’s see if that materialises.”
“Whitstable are a good side and the match will be tough but I’m always confident when going into a new fixture. It wasn’t great on Tuesday but it wasn’t all doom and gloom - there were some plus points and some good performances too.”
“I had a positive chat with the squad last night and we also welcomed back Tyrell Mitford from injury.”
“Our ultimate target is to keep picking up points this season continuing tomorrow. But we face a side who have scored plenty of goals this season with the wide lads and Aaron Millbank, who is an exceptional player. Then they’ve got experience at the back with Tom Bryant and Ollie Rowe.”
“Whitstable has had a decent season. They ended last season strong and that’s continued into this season and that’s what happens when you persist at something. We are at the beginning of that process ourselves.”
"The boys are prepared, they understand what it means to the supporters and as a group we’ll be confident we can get the right result.”
