MATCH PREVIEW: Whyteleafe FC vs Ramsgate FC
Ramsgate Football Club take on Whyteleafe for more Isthmian League action on Saturday afternoon at Church Road, 3:00pm kick-off.
Matt Longhurst’s side will look to get back to winning ways following Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Whitehawk FC.
Matt Longhurst nearly has a fully fit squad available at his disposal tomorrow. Ollie Gray is the only notable absentee, suffering from a hamstring injury. The midfielder is nearing his return to action.
“We go into tomorrow’s game buoyant following Saturday’s comeback against Whitehawk.”
“It was certainly a pleasing performance but as a group everybody was disappointed we only picked up a point. I thought we dominated for large parts of the match.”
“Obviously coming up against one of the contenders for the league title, no doubt I would have taken a point before hand so we can’t take that for granted.”
“On Saturday we face a very good side who are in the running for promotion. They’re a well-organised and well-coached team playing on a pitch that suits them.”
“We will need to be at our best and it’s another opportunity to test ourselves against good opposition in the league.”
“As evident last week, the strides we’ve made have been massive but it’s no good doing that as a one off, it needs to be replicated week in week out.”
“It’s been a bit of a frustrating week in the sense that Tuesday’s game was called off and then we found it extremely difficult to train on Thursday with the weather we’ve had.”
“Despite that, the players, myself and my coaching staff are looking forward to tomorrow’s game.”
