Match Report: Ramsgate 1 -1 Sevenoaks (FA Cup)
Isthmian newbies Sevenoaks Town made their third visit to Southwood today for this FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round tie, and the first since January 2005, where a dour game saw two sides battle out a draw, with very few chances for either side.
It was Sevenoaks Town who went into an early lead in the 10th minute with a goal created from a free kick Rob Saunders the number 6 started a run from the edge of the Ramsgate box and ran through unchallenged to head home. The half panned out frustrating for both teams with little action in front of goal.
The second half saw the Rams making an early change with Jack Penny coming on for Stannard on the left, which seemd to give the Rams more balance and attacking options. A 70th minute swivel-kick from Millbank inside the Sevenoaks box went high into the top of the net, helped home by the defender gave a 1 - 1 draw, and a Tuesday reply at Sevenoaks.
