Match Report: Ramsgate FC 1-0 Faversham Town FC
Ramsgate started well in possession but nearly let Faversham snatch an early lead through Ryan Cooper who hit the bar with a cross-shot in the 6th minute - Rams goalkeeper Luke Watkins was nearly caught out. Watkins did however manage to keep out a great opportunity from Faversham who looked destined to score in the 9th minute.
Tom Chapman and Trey Williams combined had a decent chance to score in the 12th minute, but goalkeeper William Godmon wasn’t troubled and made a smart save. It was a lively start to the half but a rather quiet ending.
Faversham started the second half very much on the back foot. Connor Sanders had a wonderful opportunity to give the Rams the lead in the 47th minute, but his effort from close range was straight at the goalkeeper.
Nick Davis’ side kept persisting throughout the half and got their reward via Mackenzie in the 69th minute, who slotted home to give Ramsgate their first win in six matches.
