Folkestone’s Ghoul smashed an effort onto the bar early doors, causing Brannon Daly a problem, but the danger was quickly cleared.

KEY MOMENT: Ter Horst put the visitors ahead in the 9th minute. Daly initially made a good save to keep out Campbell from 18-yards, but Ter Horst was first to the rebounds to put his side ahead.

Ashley Miller was vigorously brought down in the box to earn The Rams a penalty after 16 minutes, but Ryan Johnson fired over disappointingly.

Rowland nearly capitalised on an error by keeper’ Henry Newcombe who wanted too much time on the ball in his own box. The Rams forward pressed Newcombe and blocked his clearance just wide.

Folkestone’s Heard and Ter Horst both had great chances in on goal midway through the half but both scuffed their efforts wide.

Ashley Miller then hit a shot over from 2-yards just before the end of the first-half following a magnificent delivery from T.Chapman on the right.

Ramsate began the second-half with a point to prove - dominating possession early on.

KEY MOMENT: Ben Wilson equalised for Longhurst’s side with a top strike from the edge of the 18-yard box on his weaker right-foot, curling an effort into the top corner. Deserved.

KEY MOMENT: Wilson struck again minutes later with an even better strike from 40-yards. The full-back had plenty of time and acres of space to line up the shot, failing to be pressed by Cugley’s side, and Newcombe was left with no chance to keep the effort out.

Substitute Henry Arnold was played through on goal by Theo White, but he overworked the chance and hit wide.

Tyrell Mitford then headed an effort onto the post following a Chapman cross, and then M.Chapman had a header well-saved by Newcombe soon after to keep the scoreline down.

Ramsgate well and truly dominated the second-half and kept Folkestone at bay to earn a deserved win on their pre-season opener.
