Nick Davis 'Delighted' With Win Against Faversham After 'Scrappy' Affair
Nick Davis has expressed his delight after Ramsgate defeated Faversham Town in yesterday’s league encounter.
Jake Mackenzie was the man responsible for the three points, finishing off an attack in the 69th minute.
The Rams boss was impressed by his side’s creativity, citing a change in formation as one of the key factors.
“I’m delighted with the result. We changed the formation today and I thought we were dominant throughout,” Nick said.
“I’m really pleased. The first half in particular was a little bit scrappy but it’s our third Kent derby in a row, these games can pan out like that,” he continued.
“We created as many chances today as we did in the other two games combined, and we should’ve scored a couple more [against Faversham] in the second half,”
“Keeping a clean sheet was also brilliant.”
Davis also pointed out the importance of staying patient in a game.
“Football is over the course of 94 minutes, so we knew that if we kept persisting our moment would come,”
“We felt we had the legs over Faversham who are an ageing side. That played in our favour.”
Ramsgate take on Hayward’s Heath next Saturday away from home.
