Nick Davis: Unforced Errors Cost us Against Ashford United
Nick Davis admitted unforced errors cost Ramsgate defeat on Saturday, losing 3-0 away at Ashford United.
A brace from Danny Parrish and a goal from Toby Ajala sealed the victory.
"I think our game plan was absolutely spot on in the first half, Luke had one shot to save," Nick said.
"We just shot ourselves in the foot here, and it's unforced errors that have cost us."
"Unfortunately for Mikey Dalton, he's cost us the first goal, and from that point onwards the momentum changed,"
Two of their goals were gifted, the last one being off-side anyway, so it's disappointing,"
"It was never a 3-0 game. Never. We flattered them."
The Rams boss insists his backline and keeper are a solid unit despite failing to keep a clean sheet in 8 consecutive matches.
"It's only the second time we've lost by a 3 goal deficit, they've been a solid unit for the most part since I've been here," Nick said.
"Individual mistakes have cost us on a couple of occassions, today, a couple of weeks ago against Sevenoaks and last week against Three Bridges,"
"But, I'm hopeful we can get it right."
Ramsgate take on Hyte Town next week away from home, 15:00 pm kick-off.
