Nick's Notes: Reaction to Guernsey as Ramsgate Prepare to Face a Tough Sittingbourne Side

16/01/2019

We’ve had a good start to 2019, taking 7 from 9 points in our last three games. However, missed opportunities and the break in play seemed to work against us in the Guernsey game and it seemed more like 2 points dropped rather than 1 gained.

Credit to Guernsey though who are unbeaten away from home since November and are by far the strongest travelling Guernsey side I have seen in the last 5 years since they joined the league.

During this time, I have been able to recruit a player all too familiar with the Ramsgate supporters in Kane Rowland. Kane scored over 20 goals for me last season and has will give us extra fire power and quality going into the back end of the season.

A lot is going on behind the scenes at the club at the moment and it’s really exciting to see the drive and ambition being shown. I must continue to look to improve and strengthen on the pitch to give us a strong end to the season and solid platform to prepare us to try and compete for honours next year.

On Saturday, we have a tough test against Sittingbourne - a club I know all too well. With new management and players, we are going to have to be at our best to get the points we need to climb further up the table.

Up the Rams!
