Nick's Notes: Reflecting on Past Results and Preparing for Cray Wanderers
We have been on a great run over the last month and this had propelled us up the league table and we were one of the form sides going into last Saturday's game away to East Grinstead.
If you would have said a month ago that we would be 6 points (at the time) away from 5th place with 12 games to go then I would of snapped your hand off.
There were very few chances last week and we are disappointed we never came away with anything. We are in the top 6 in the fair play awards across the leagues and had only accumulated 22 yellow cards before the Grinstead game, so to have received 7 in one game tells it’s own story.
This Saturday doesn’t get much tougher than playing the best team in the league. These are the games I look forward to as it tells me a lot about my squad and how far we have come.
I also like locking horns with the best coaches/managers in the league and they don’t get much better than Tony/joe and their management team. I have had a few decent tactical battles over the past couple of seasons with them and I hope we can do the same Saturday.
