Ramsgate Vs Three Bridges Match Preview

10/10/2020

Isthmian South East:

The injury-stricken Rams will be looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat at title hopefuls East Grinstead Town, which dropped them down the table to 15th place. Three Bridges appeared to be heading for their first win of the season on Tuesday against Whitstable Town. The Bridges led going in to injury time but a late goal from former Ram Aaron Milbank was added to by Muhammed Cham and resulted in the Oyster Boys returning to Kent with all three points.

We've met before:

Having never played each other in nearly 90 years of both club's existence, The Rams and Bridges first locked horns in The FA Vase in 1987. Having thrashed Portfield, who went on to become Chichester City United, in the Preliminary Round 5-0 Ramsgate made light work of todays opponents, winning 3-0.The road to Wembley ended in the Second Round when we were defeated 2-0 at home to Whyteleafe.

The following season match the two clubs again at the same stage of the competition, but Ramsgate did not have things so easy. A 1-1 draw at Jubilee Field and a 0-0 at Southwood Stadium resulted in a second replay being required. This time it was Bridges who progressed with a 2-0 win at the Prices Road ground.

Since Three Bridges entered the Isthmian League it has been The Rams who have enjoyed the greater success having only lost three and won six of the 13 league meetings between the two sides.
