Rest in Peace, Theo Foley (02/04/1937 - 26/06/20)
Ramsgate Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of Theo Foley aged 83.
The former Republic of Ireland international was an inspirational figure with all his football knowledge having played for Burnley and Charlton.
Theo went on to manage Charlton and Northampton but his major claim to fame was being No.2 to George Graham in the famous 1989 Arsenal league winning side.
Theo always found time to come and watch his son Paul (passed away 10th April 2020) who played for Ramsgate, especially during the double-winning side in the late nineties.
He was always one for a quick line, a great sense of humour and humility. Theo realised that Non-League football meant as much to Ramsgate’s great supporters as the professional game. He was always a welcome sight to see at Southwood.
He will be sadly missed. All our thoughts go to his wife, Sheila, and all his family.
