Terry Sedge - The Players are Responding Well to What's Asked of Them and That's Reciprocated by the Results
Ramsgate picked up their third successive win with a 3-1 victory at home to Whyteleafe on Saturday afternoon.
Other than conceding a goal, it was a near perfect afternoon for The Rams, said Terry Sedge.
“We are a little bit disappointed we never kept a clean sheet and we spoke to the lads after the match to discuss it,”
“We probably gave the ball away a little bit cheaply and then conceded late on - but that isn’t good enough because those things can cost you games sooner or later down the line.”
“It was just a lapse of concentration, but these things can happen.”
“I can’t be over critical because they’ve done the job today, they’ve put a shift in and scored three great goals to bring home all three points.”
Terry has insisted that Ramsgate can get even better but shouldn't get carried away.
“It was important that we put a good run of form together and thankfully that run is continuing at the moment.” He said.
“Since we first come in to now, I would say the expectation is a little bit greater on the players now - they know what me, Jason and Joe expect and they’ve got to respond.”
“I would say the players are responding well to what is being asked of them, and that’s being reciprocated by the results,”
“But I think it’s important to not get carried away - we need to continue working hard because there is still room for improvement.”
“We’ll have a good session midweek and then we will be ready for Faversham next weekend where we’ll look to keep this winning streak alive.”
