The Great Ram Run - Days 4 to 6
It started down in Hythe where we donated to the local branch of the Royal British Legion and it continues to Marlow this evening having so far visited Cray Valley, Ware, Burgess Hill, Bury St Edmunds in between, the three days since our last update have been a slog, but an enjoyable one! The Ramsgate Family, or Ramily as we see you have been calling it, have been absolutely smashing it!
Already we have donated to Link Foundation, Bury Drop In, Demelza Hospice, Herts Young Homeless, Burgess Hill Foodbank in the last three days, on top of the already reported Surviving The Streets, St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Cambridge City Foodbank, The Daisy Programme, Soham Town Foodbank and Sandhurst Trust
While also, up to now, having raised £2,000 for Aurora’s treatment! But still 4,000miles to go to hit the magic £6,000!
From the u8s girls to the men’s senior team, we are receiving runs from all of the 54 teams of Ramsgate Football Club, which we are immensely proud to see!
Mason, Fred, Oliver and Finley ran 4k together at school on Monday and Joe Mills sported his Ramsgate shirt and did the same distance with his dad!
Pheobe Wells went up and down the sand dunes on Broadstairs beach, adding extra effort while someone jogged in Tenerife, although we assume, they did not run there!
Soph from the under 12’s has made the Royal Harbour her personal running track doing laps around the marina while Luke Carey has set a blistering pace on the streets of Gravesend!
We are already starting to see an increase in distance and a reduction in minutes per mile from all of you sending your efforts in, while someone informed us he has had to start using a tighter hole on his belt!
We are not rewarding you yet though, instead we are upping the intensity with a grueling run tomorrow that will take us through six different counties! See you tomorrow Whitehawk, Whitstable and Staines!
