The Great Ram Run FAQ
What is The Great Rams Run?
The Great Ram Run is a 6,000 mile run, which we are plotting around all Step 4 Isthmian Clubs, starting and finishing at Ramsgate Football Club.
What about the lockdown?
No, we aren’t actually travelling to these locations, just getting hard miles down in our local areas and combining the distance
Why are we running?
While the physical benefits of running are obvious, the effect on mental health is huge too. Running can clear your mind and give you time away from your computer screens to think and escape.
What do we do when we reach each club?
When we reach each club, we donate £50 to a local charity of the club’s choice. Some clubs have been extremely generous and matched our donation. Special thanks to Chichester City who were the first to on Day 2! Our donations alone equate to £3,000!
Can I donate?
We would love you to and would be extremely grateful for any sum whether that be £1 or £100! Please donate via just giving or contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any other ideas!
Miles are just as valuable as your cash, so if you can’t donate money please chip in with a mile or two and send them in to 07517380532 , @ramsgateFC on twitter and ramsgatefootballclub on Instagram.
How can we help Aurora?
For each mile of our 6,000 target we run WW Martin and ALS Civil Engineers have joined forces to donate £1 to Aurora, a brave local girl in the hearts of all of us, for surgery which will cost £300,000
How else can I help?
Every share, like, follow, RT on social media platforms has a huge impact. That simple click could be worth hundreds of pounds by bringing it to the attention of more people!
How much have we raised?
We are currently on course to raise over £9,000!
