Forward Tom Chapman has praised his teammates for Ramsgate’s recent run of form following a 1-5 victory against Herne Bay on Tuesday but has insisted it’s important not to get carried away with more tough tests to come starting this Saturday away to East Grinstead.

“It’s vitally important we keep this form going, and keep playing the way we are,” Tom said.

“As I said a couple of weeks ago, we just need to keep picking up points here and there and see where we end up,”

“We are now just 6 points off the play-offs as things stand and have another important game away to East Grinstead on Saturday.”

Chapman, 24, scored two goals in his sides 5-1 demolition of Herne Bay on Tuesday and would’ve been disappointed not to get his hat-trick.

“I was buzzing to get the two goals but yes I was slightly gutted not to get the hat-trick in the end,” Tom said.

“It was an unbelievable team performance from back to front.”

The winger also praised Nick Davis’ impact he has had on the team since returning in a managerial capacity.

“Nick’s been great, he has us all playing in a certain way and the results have shown how good of a start he has had,” He said.

“We just need to keep pushing on.”
