Former Punjab United forward, William Johnson-Cole, was able to net a debut goal on Saturday against Crystal Palace U23’s.

The Rams were held to a 3-3 draw, as Miles Cornwell and Dan Carrington also made it onto the scoresheet.

“I was happy with my performance on Saturday - the whole team put in a great shift,” Johnson-Cole said.

“I’m glad I could get off the mark to open my account early doors against a very good Palace side.”

“These lads we just played are full-time, and they train week in week out, and they’ve got some very, very good players in their team,”

"So, to come away from this match with a 3-3 draw, it’s not bad at all to be honest!”

“We definitely had enough chances to win it, but at the same time, a couple of the goals we conceded were gifted,”

“Hopefully we can rectify a couple of the mistakes we made in our next game.”
